Transformation through Compassion: An Introduction to Internal Family Systems
[Free workshop]
Join me on Feb 24 for a free 90-minute workshop to learn about yourself and the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model.
Saturday, February 24, 2024 | 9-10:30am PST / 12-1:30pm EST
About the Workshop:
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidenced-based model and a powerful tool for transformation and healing. It starts with the premise that it's normal for every individual to have a number of sub-personalities or parts as well as a deeper core Self. We work compassionately with all parts. Our goal is to understand and ultimately heal them through connection with our core Self, which is compassionate, curious, creative, and calm. The IFS process helps you access more of these qualities within you.
If you are unfamiliar with the IFS theory, this workshop will be a great introduction to learn some basic concepts and give it a try. If you are already familiar with it, this workshop will be a chance to work with one of your parts and deepen your connection with your own system.
What You’ll Learn:
In this short and interactive workshop, you’ll learn the basic IFS framework and experience two exercises to get to know a part of you that is stuck, a part that annoys you, or a part that you otherwise want to transform (for example, an inner critic, perfectionist, angry part). We’ll meet these parts of ourselves with compassion as a powerful agent for change.
During this 90-minute session, you will:
Learn about the Internal Family Systems model
Get a sense of the types of parts active within you
Connect with a part of you with compassion through two experiential exercises
Reflect and learn about how this part of you shows up and how it can transform
This session will be held online through Zoom. It will be interactive, so please plan to join with your full attention and from a location that is relatively free from distractions.
*** Recording: A recording of this session will be shared with everyone who registers.
